<p><strong>AFFILIATE AGREEMENT</strong> : A contractual document, usually executed electronically, between an affiliate and a merchant. Includes terms and conditions of the relationship. Legally binding.</p>
<p><strong>AFFILIATE LINK</strong> : Code that sends your customer to a merchant&#8217;s sales page. The code can either be an HTML link or be part of a graphic (such as a banner). The code identifies you as the affiliate who should be credited for the click or the sale.</p>
<p><strong>AFFILIATE PROGRAM</strong> : A business model that pays a commission to someone who sends leads, clicks, or sales to a merchants via a link (text or graphic) on a web site.</p>

<p><strong>CONTEXTUAL MERCHANDISING</strong> : Matching relevant products to your content.</p>
<p><strong>CONVERSION RATE</strong> : Percentage of clicks that results in sales or leads.</p>
<p><strong>CPC (COST PER CLICK)</strong> : Cost of each click on a PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising link.</p>
<p><strong>CPM (COST PER THOUSAND)</strong> : The amount you pay for one thousand banner ad impressions on someone else&#8217;s site.</p>
<p><strong>EMAIL SIGNATURE</strong> : A brief message that closes every email sent by an individual. Your email signature file can contain affiliate links, relevant site links, free offers, and advertising messages. See also Signature File.</p>
<p><strong>EZINE</strong> : An electronic magazine or newsletter, usually delivered via email.</p>
<p><strong>FAQ (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)</strong> :Â  A web page that answers the most common questions about your products.</p>
<p><strong>HTML CODE: HyperText Markup Language</strong> . HTML is a set of codes that tells your browser to display web pages. When you sign up for an affiliate program, your merchant or affiliate program provider will send you HTML code to use for your links.</p>
<p><strong>IMPRESSION</strong> : An instance of your advertising link being displayed in a browser.</p>
<p><strong>LIFETIME COMMISSION</strong> : Affiliate programs that write long-term cookies (two years or more), or that use their own internal customer data tracking, to guarantee that affiliates will earn repeat commissions. In general, with a lifetime commission program, your affiliate ID will be permanently &#8220;attached&#8221; to your customers, so you will make commissions on all your customers&#8217; future purchases.</p>
<p><strong>LIFETIME VALUE OF A CUSTOMER</strong> : Projected dollar amount of sales that your customer is expected to spend with you.</p>
<p><strong>MICRO -SITE</strong> : A 1-3 page web site devoted exclusively to selling a product, soliciting subscribers, or otherwise getting a prospect to take immediate action. (See also Mini-Site.)</p>
<p><strong>MINI-SITE</strong> : A web site with a tightly focused topic and highly specialized information. Mini-sites began as single sales pages, but today these types of sites are called micro -sites (see above). Currently, the optimal mini- site contains at least 10 pages of targeted content &#8211; product reviews, specs, FAQs, recommendations, etc. &#8211; as well as sales pages. Many &#8220;mini-sites&#8221; are actually quite large &#8211; some contain hundreds of pages of content.</p>
<p><strong>PARTNER PROGRAM</strong> : See Affiliate Program.</p>
<p><strong>PAY -PER- SALE</strong> : Most common affiliate program, where you receive a commission for each sale of a product or service via your affiliate link.</p>
<p><strong>PAY -PER- LEAD</strong> : A program in which an affiliate is paid a commission for each &#8220;qualified&#8221; lead generated through your affiliate link. Merchants often have very specific criteria for what constitutes a &#8220;qualified&#8221; lead. In general, the prospect must take some sort of action while at the merchant&#8217;s site, such as filling out an application, subscribing to an ezine or offer list, entering a sweepstakes, requesting a free sample, or downloading software or PDFs.</p>
<p><strong>PAY -PER- CLICK</strong> : A program in which an affiliate is paid for each click to a merchant&#8217;s web site. Pay- per- click returns are very low, usually less than $.50 per click and sometimes as low as $.01 per click. BestÂ  for webmasters with extremely high traffic sites.</p>
<p><strong>QUALIFIED LEAD</strong> : See Pay-Per-Lead.</p>

<p><strong>RESELLER PROGRAM</strong> : Sometimes used as a synonym for an Affiliate Program. However, a true Re seller Program is usually structured as a B to B (business-to-business) wholesaler relationship. Many merchants require Resellers to apply to their program, and require a transparent contractual business relationship. Resellers then purchase product at greatly reduced prices, but often also have to provide product support.</p>
<p><strong>RESIDUAL INCOME</strong> : A program that pays commissions on recurring payments. These are usually memberships, subscriptions, or monthly fees for services such as web hosting.</p>
<p><strong>REVENUE SHARING PROGRAM</strong> : See Affiliate Program.</p>
<p><strong>ROI (Return On Investment): </strong> A method for measuring actual profit from a given sales campaign.</p>

<p><strong>TEXT LINK</strong> : A link that displayed as text only, without an image overlying it (such as a banner).</p>
<p><strong>TWO -TIER</strong> : Affiliate payment model in which you can refer other affiliates and receive a small additional commission on their sales. You are the first tier, your sub-affiliates are the second tier. Two-tier affiliate marketing is sometimes compared to MLM (Multi- Level Marketing). But two-tier affiliate programs avoidthe complicated matrix payment systems of MLMs, as well as some of the shadieraspects of &#8220;pyramid&#8221; marketing.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m not meaning to imply that you shouldn&#8217;t bother with <strong>Yahoo Search Marketing</strong>. Quite the contrary. You&#8217;ll need to run campaigns with <strong>Yahoo Search Marketing</strong> if you want to reach the 20.40% and 9.10% market shares of Yahoo and MSN, respectively.</p>
<p>This has led to significant improvements in a number of areas already, like the account management interface and reporting tools. Close competition with Google for those click profits will definitely spur on continued improvements.</p>

<li>Create multiple versions of your ads for each separate keyword. You need to test out various headlines and body copy in as many combinations as you can before you discard any keywords, and definitely before you settle on â€œthe best version of the adâ€.</li>
<li>Closely monitor your campaigns. You should log-in on a daily basis to check current bids and position.</li>
</ul>

<p>You can send your visitor straight to your sales page from your ad, but most of the time I&#8217;d recommend against this.</p>

<p>He&#8217;s already shown some curiosity by clicking on your ad to begin with, but the lead capture page presents him with more information and asks for a name and e-mail address.</p>
<p>If he provides this information, he pre-qualifies himself further and becomes a subscriber, ready to receive your pre-sales material and follow ups.</p>
<p>In addition to building your list, you can also use PPC traffic to simultaneously build a list and research your target market before you even create a product. This can be accomplished by setting up a survey, and &#8216;bribing&#8217; visitors to respond by offering them a valuable freebie in exchange for their time.</p>
<p>You can also use PPC campaigns to build multiple lists and multiple income streams as an affiliate.</p>

<p>Pay-per-click campaigns are an absolutely indispensable tool for your business. Don&#8217;t be afraid to jump in with both feet and learn how to play the game.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re a true newbie to PPC, just start off light with a dozen or so targeted phrases and keep your bids super cheap, like less than 10 cents per click cheap. This will enable you to test out the process without losing your shirt.</p>

<p>My advice, make some major changes to the articles before you even think about submitting them. And by major I mean adding to them, rearranging the information in them, combining a couple of articles on the same subject matter, or even removing some of the content. The best way to be sure your private label article, if you decide to make use of them, is to add more content to them that is relevant to the overall article itself.</p>

<p>In fact, you could even add more to the article itself to really make it stand apart. Maybe you have a different angle of looking at things than the original author did. Put it to use and put it in the article!</p>
<p>Be sure though that if you&#8217;re adding more to an already written article that you keep the natural flow going. Place your additions in the appropriate places.</p>
<p>For instance:</p>

<p>What I started to realize is that many times there are items listed on Craigslist such as cell phones, PDAs, digital cameras, laptops, and computers that can be bought for much below what they are selling for on eBay.</p>
<p><em><strong>Here are the steps to making quick cash using the power of Craigslist and eBay:</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>Locate an in-demand electronic item on Craigslist</li>
<li>Search eBay completed auctions to see what the item is selling for on average on eBay</li>
<li>Call the seller on Craigslist and tell him you are willing to pay $X amount of dollars for the item. Be sure to tell him you can meet him today and you can pay cash. (very important to mention)</li>
<li>Only make deals that will bring you $30-$40 profit or more</li>
<li>Sell the item on eBay</li>
<li>Find more and more deals</li>
</ul>
<p>Now this method isnâ€™t going to make you rich, but I can honestly say this method brought me $500 or more CASH in a week of really looking for deals. Every once in a while you are going to not get as much profit as you expected and then there will be other times where you hit the jackpot.</p>
<p>A couple of words of caution, a market place like Craigslist can bring out some very shady individuals. Always meet the person in a public place such as a mall, gas station, or fast food restaurant. Never invite the seller into your home or meet them at their home. Always look the item over very carefully before purchasing. There have been times I have walked away from deals simply because the condition the seller described the item over the phone does not match the description when I see the item in person. Yes, itâ€™s very frustrating, but just walk away and tell the seller you are sorry.</p>
<p>Thatâ€™s it guys. If you need to make quick cash, this is my favorite way of succeeding using eBay and Craigslist. I achieved most of my profit and success by performing this method in the cell phone category.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>3. Sell items in SEASON</strong></span></p>
<p>I hesitated putting this section in the â€œquick cashâ€ chapter because I know many sellers that have turned their â€œin seasonâ€ auction business into six figures a year businesses. The whole concept is selling homemade items for whatâ€™s going on in the world right now. Okay, first, letâ€™s go over what I mean by selling â€œin seasonâ€ items. By positioning yourself in â€œhot, current marketsâ€ you can really bank quick money.</p>
<p>If itâ€™s nearing NFL Super Bowl time why not sell t-shirts, stickers, sweatshirts, tickets to the game, and more?</p>
<p>If itâ€™s nearing political season, why not sell bumper stickers for all the candidates?</p>
<p>If itâ€™s nearing baseball season, why not sell t-shirts for everyoneâ€™s favorite team?</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Get the drift? Good!</strong></p>
<p>Marketâ€™s change guys and the smart marketers are the ones that adapt to changing markets.</p>

Iâ€™ve tried many different types of print technology and have had the best success with Teflon. Mingle around in the forum above and get a full education in custom t-shirts before you even think about selling on eBay.</p>
<p>Be creative and you can do VERY well selling custom homemade items on eBay. The business of custom created items can be very time consuming and labor involved. For this reason, I suggest hiring an employee or taking on a partner once you get this business up and going and understand exactly how it works. Thatâ€™s what I did and it has allowed me to focus on bigger and better things while I still have that constant cash flow coming in.</p>

<p>Originally, this was a process solely used by search engines to index web sites on their databases. Now, though, you can use this same â€œpingingâ€ technique to let people know about your blog.</p>
<p><strong>Blogs also prove especially suited to affiliate marketers</strong>. If you&#8217;ve thought about setting up a product review site, for example, the blog format is ideal for product and link promotion.</p>
